- Water-packed: fish preserved in water; lower flavor by design.
- Smoked: smoke flavor applied (varies by brand/species).
- Conservas: preserved seafood (often premium/import), usually oil-based.
- Species: the fish type (tuna, mackerel, sardine, trout, etc.). Changing species changes “fishiness.”
